At Eretz Hemdah, we train a new generation of Torah scholars at the highest level: a young cadre of spiritual leaders distinguished in Torah scholarship and endowed with broad horizons, capable of serving in key positions at the forefront of advanced Torah education, the rabbinate, and the rabbinical courts. These leaders are committed to promoting greater understanding and unity among the different sectors of the Jewish people.
The Institute offers study programs for rabbis who have already received Semichah, served in the Israel Defense Forces, and successfully completed a rigorous admissions process. The rabbis study toward “Yadin Yadin” ordination as dayanim, the highest level of rabbinical ordination in Torah studies in Israel and around the world. An additional group prepares for the “Rav Ir” qualification. Graduates of this program undertake to serve Jewish communities in the Diaspora. The Institute also operates international study programs for rabbis serving Jewish communities on four continents.
Participants undertake to assume active professional or communal positions upon completing the program.

More than 150 dayanim have been trained at Eretz Hemdah. Today, over 15% of the dayanim serving in Israel’s official rabbinical courts are Eretz Hemdah graduates, and dozens serve in the Eretz Hemdah-Gazit Network of Batei Din.
