Curriculum – Morenu

The program is intended for the many Torah enthusiasts throughout the Jewish world who wish to establish a regular schedule for in-depth study and acquire broad, practical knowledge in various areas of Halacha, ultimately earning the title “Morenu.”

Over the course of the seven-year program, participants will engage in an in-depth study of the laws of Shabbat, family purity and mikvaot, permitted and prohibited foods and related matters, and mourning practices.

The program is based on a commitment of one hour of daily study using detailed source sheets, together with a weekly lecture, as described below.

Participants will have the opportunity to correspond with the program staff and receive answers to questions that arise during their studies.

Upon completion of each topic, participants will be offered an examination.

The source sheets include references to supplementary materials that provide further depth and additional perspectives on the core topic. At the end of each lesson, the relevant sections of the Shulchan Aruch are listed. The lesson provides the necessary background for studying these sections and their commentaries thoroughly and with greater ease.

The Limmud Lishmah program is offered as a free public service. Donations are gratefully accepted.
