Tzofnat Shmuel – Complete Set (in Hebrew)

Rabbi Yosef Carmel’s new book explores the Book of Samuel and the rise and reign of King David. It presents the Book of Samuel not merely as the story of David’s life, but as the unfolding process through which a unified and independent Jewish state was established, centered on Jerusalem, the Temple Mount, and the building of the Temple.

The three-volume work is structured around an explanation of the verses in II Samuel dealing with “the last words of King David.” Through these passages, the book also sheds light on the major events that preceded David’s reign. Alongside its study of the Book of Samuel, the work includes discussions of chapters from Psalms, the Book of Chronicles, the teachings of Chazal, and the classical commentators.
