The prophet Isaiah lived during one of the most turbulent and dramatic periods in the history of the Jewish people, a time of messianic expectation that was shattered by a devastating earthquake and accompanied by profound spiritual and political upheaval. The light at the end of the tunnel emerged again only in the days of King Hezekiah.

Tzofnat Yeshayahu: From Uzziah to Ahaz introduces us to three kings who stood at this historic crossroads in the history of our people: Uzziah, the king who sought God but was afflicted with leprosy as a result of his sin; Jotham, one of the most righteous kings in the history of our people; and Ahaz, the king who acknowledged God but did not place his faith in Divine providence.
